We have a TrueHome and everything here rings true. If you buy a TrueHome in or near Charlotte in a $120K-$150K subdivision you will be in the ghetto. Lots of disrespectful renters and every other dog on your street will be a Pit Bull. Save yourself some grief and look carefully at what you are getting. Be sure to drive by in the evening when activity picks up.
I don't know how these people sleep at night. They are trashing the financial stability of many families. It looks okay on the outside, but don't get me started on the cheap construction and interior. Issues with truhomes mainly stem from poor drainage between houses/property lines, or issues within their sales/marketing department. In addition, many homes are being built BELOW the sewer line and True Homes has tried to get out of having to fix the issue properly.

I can see using cost efficient materials, but at least install it with some skill and craftsmanship. Articles all over the internet are written about the poor after-sale service of track home builders and contractors. When it comes to building homes they all love to build them but hate to repair them, even if the repair is due to their own negligence. If you’ve ever watched Holmes on Homes or spoken to a home inspector you probably know how terrible site-built home construction can be.
The electricity looks like it was installed by a drunken 6 year old and the plumbing by their sibling. We had huge drafts near windows and especially the front door. Most of the insulation was stuffed in with complete disregard or cut up to 18 short of the void.
New Prague Mobile Homes
People have trouble seeing past the stereotypes to the beauty and quality of manufactured homes. Manufactured home buyers have many more protections afforded to them than a site-built home buyer, both on a national and state level. Even with those protections manufacture home-buyers need to understand the different levels of quality and align their expectations with them. No one can pay $39,900 for a new double wide and expect the home to have top-quality materials, exterior sheathing, large studs, or screws when staples will work.
Don't really have much to complain about in regards to the house itself except for a few things here and there i. E poor dry wall mudding on the ceiling allowing you... I purchased my first home from True Homes and was told that I was purchasing the biggest lot in the neighborhood. I Scott that water was sitting in my backyard and he stated it will be fine, the water has to have a place to run.
Use poor material and charge a lot for updated
On ongoing leak was undetected, in spite of a home inspection. And though the house was out of warrentee by two months, truhomes came and fixed the issue promptly, at no charge. We Purchased our house March 2016 and it has been a nightmare. We have flooding all in the yard with a stream. When they send someone out, if they do, it is very poor work they have been out several times and I still have flooding as well as in my driveway. I have Dead stopped replaced on top of standing water.
It also means that personal choice plays an increasingly prominent role in buyers’ decision making. The warranty was not worth the paper it was written on. When they sent a person to make repairs, they were nothing short of incompetent. We spent a lot of money repairing what then would or could not do.
Now my land as washed away and I am starting to see my patio sink in the ground and well as my... We Just recently bought our home and when we closed on the home we were told that the grass/sod just needed some TLC, water. The grass was completely brown and very spotty with big clay areas showing and no green grass whatsoever.
Although you might be able to score a deal purchasing a much older mobile home, as they were called before 1976, you will be getting exactly what you pay for. When the quality of life and safety of you and your family are at stake, it’s best to put down the extra cash. The interior feels very natural as it’s filled with soft, earthy colors and plenty of wood. The Georgetown Oak Cabinets, black brick-face kitchen walls, and the marble-like laminate countertops make for what feels like a designer kitchen.
We are having problems with our spec home, every day a new problem, and people are right, held together with glue. There isn't a piece of wood in the dam house, all fiber board, painted over to look like wood. Shame on me for not looking at this company more carefully. I ordered two Tru homes back in 2015, and one of them had a significant roof issue a few years later (some of the nails weren’t sealed correctly causing some significant water damage inside the wall). The home almost futuristic with only the wall panels giving it away as being manufactured. We love the exterior profile of a slanting roof on the one side, then the small raised kitchen area and then the porch/balcony on the other end.
Manufactured homes aren’t perfect and I’m certainly not trying to say they are. If you’ve read any of my previous articles you’ll know I love the homes but not the industry. I feel as if the industry has failed time and time again both as a whole and as an independent unit.
This is something that is not our fault, and we understand the natural progression of the land, but then why did we pay the same land premium as others when we in essence had a DEFECTIVE lot. Don't worry, their backyard also drains into ours so now we have drainage from BOTH sides of the back of the house. True Homes is a crooked company with crooked management and cost-cutting building methodologies that will leave you and your home in danger. The Wakefield South development in Indian Land, SC is built on a slopping hill that was not properly graded for home development.
This was our starter home, and instead of sticking with a company we could have loved, we will definitely be staying far away from any True Homes current or new build when we out grow this one. True Homes also swooped into my deserted community also, the homes that were here ranged from 200K to 400K, then came the recession. Now true homes is here and building 130K homes! Bringing the value down of homes that were here before. Also, True Homes does not make Developer follow their own rules and restrictions...We have a trailer sitting on the street, trash barrels everywhere. True Homes doesn't seem to care as long as they are selling their cheap homes...My community has turned into the "projects"...this community is in Huntersville, NC.
